What we know
Houston Parks Board and the City of Houston are transforming the 65-acre MacGregor Park through a $75 million, two-phase program. Improvements include a new tennis center and clubhouse, pickleball courts, a shaded inclusive playground, trails and sidewalks, pool and pool-house work, and upgrades to recreation facilities. Hood Design Studio developed the concept, Talley is landscape architect of record, and Bellows Construction is the contractor. Construction closures began in August 2026, followed by an October 1 groundbreaking ceremony. Completion is targeted for late 2028.
