What we know
Montie Beach Park's improvement project broke ground October 27 as part of Let's Play Houston. Work planned within the 23-acre Brooke Smith park includes a new playground and basketball court, improved concrete paths, a picnic pavilion, sprayground repairs, site furniture, lighting and parking repairs. Houston Parks Board manages the project with the City of Houston. The broader park master plan was developed by Asakura Robinson; individual master-plan phases should not be assumed to be included in this construction contract.
