What we know
SEG Solar has signed a land agreement for a planned $950 million solar-cell factory at its Tomball Industrial Campus. The facility is designed for 4 GW of annual heterojunction cell production in two 2 GW phases targeted for 2028 and 2029, with more than 700 jobs expected. It will sit alongside SEG's module-manufacturing operations. This profile covers the newly planned cell plant; the neighboring Tomball #2 module plant is a separate project already under construction.
